Modified Haunted House

Modified Haunted House

I loved the overall look of the Haunted House (10228), but must admit I’m not a huge fan of the theme or the minifgures that came with the Haunted House set.  I did, however, feel a desperate need to restore it to its former glory and convert it to a modular building.

The interior has also been restored, with a kitchen and fireplace on the ground floor:

And a bedroom on the first floor:

The attic houses some hidden treasures:

  1. Hi Kristel. First of all I want to say I love your work! I have downloaded the instructions for the Modified Haunted House and was using the parts list for it on Rebrickable to get the parts I need from Bricklink. I have started building and found that I am short of some parts according to the downloaded instructions. The list on Rebrickable doesn’t have the 1 x 2 and 2 x 2 dark bluish grey tiles listed. Just a heads up incase that needs to be changed.

  2. Kristel,

Great MOC! I can’t wait to build this so I can add another building to my city when the haunted house is out of season.
I have one question, I’m assuming that the parts list in the instructions is a total parts list and not parts needed in addition to the parts that came with the haunted house. Also, I notice the base plate is not in the parts list, I’ll just go ahead and get one of those too 🙂

    Thanks!

    • Thanks David!

You’re correct in that it is the total parts list for the building. I also tend to leave out the baseplates for the free download instructions because they make it difficult to get all the parts onto one page!

  3. Just finished building this great structure, much better than the original kit! Thanks for ideas about the interior, will add those soon.
